Lionfish Wall Decor Large (m8403 l r)

Only 3 left in-stock

Lionfish are one of the most easily recognizable fish in the world thanks to their beautiful red coloring and long, lacy fins. But these fish are more than just beautiful – they’re also symbols of strength and courage.

The lionfish is a fierce predator, stalking its prey with deadly precision. But it’s also a protector, guarding its reef home with ferocious determination. For these reasons and more, the lionfish is a symbol of both beauty and strength.

Our Lionfish Wall DĂ©cor is a tribute to this amazing creature. Handcrafted by skilled artisans, this piece features hints of blue to reflect the coastal waters where the lionfish swims. Measuring 18 inches wide by 24 inches tall, the lionfish will make its presents known in the room it is placed.

The basic frame of the lionfish is created using tin, which is powder-coated with a black finish and makes this piece safe to use outdoors. The edges of the frame are reinforced using thicker tin wire. The front of this piece is adorned in areas with capiz shell, an oyster native to the Philippines, before being hand-painted and sealed with a water-based sealant. The primary purpose of this oyster to provide a source of food, however, the shell is a sustainable by-product that can be used for decoration. The capiz shell subtly replicates the reflective qualities of fish in nature. The entire piece is lightweight and has an eyelet in the back allowing it to be hung using a finishing nail, command strip, or a push pin.

Due to it being a natural material, the organic colors of capiz come through as tans and browns underneath the paint.
